I have only read parts of this book, but it seems well researched. I will use it as a reference in research and discussion. I am really weary of arguments that slavery was not a cause of the war. All the discussions of slavery as a cause (the primary cause) are researched and reviewed by other civil war historians by men who are very /5(2).
